This is one of the easiest dips you can make! All you need to do is combine TWO ingredients. Clam dip has been one of my family's party staples for years.
Here's what you'll need (note: this is for party size; what is pictured below is made with half):
-two 8 ounce packages of cream cheese, softened
-two cans of chopped or minced clams (the 6.5 oz can)
1. Mash up softened cream cheese with a fork.
2. Drain juice from clams. Keep juice.
3. Mix clams into cream cheese. Add juice slowly, mixing in between, until reach desired texture. You don't want it to be too watery but you want to be able to be soft enough that you can scoop the dip out with a chip. When making one portion of this, I believe I used 2-3 tablespoons of the juice. When it's at the consistency you want, you can get rid of the rest of the clam juice.
4. Refrigerate until about 15 minutes before serving so cream cheese can soften again. Serve with chips and enjoy!
Simple and yummy!
This is definitely a party staple!
