Another month, another cross stitch update post. Summer has already come to an end. It's time for fall and that means Halloween, leafy decor, and pumpkin spice lattes. I can't wait! We're always excited for each season when it begins and then we can't wait for it to end and move on to the next one.
August has been a decent month. I started off the beginning with getting my new kitten, Violet. Things with her have been going okay. She had a cold when I first got her (sniffles and sneezing) and she was already on antibiotics. As I went through her treatment she was essentially all better but a few days after I finished, she was sick again. Coughing, sneezing, sniffles. I've never had a kitten sick like this! I took her to the vet and she got another round of antibiotics. The same thing happened. Her cold was almost all gone but a few days after the antibiotics were finished, she started getting sick again. We're going back to the vet today. Hopefully we'll be able to find out what's going on. She's such a pleasure and a terror combined in only the way kittens can be (can I just say she certainly never lost her energy). I just want her to get better!
The end of August has also brought about the beginning of my graduate classes that I'm starting while working full time. It will definitely be the test of my time management skills!
Anyway, onto the cross stitching. Here is how my cross stitch looked at the end of July:
Here it is on August 4th. I focused primarily on the upper left corner.
I figured with my new kitten, I wasn't going to get much cross stitching done after that. However, I took a few days off work to bond with my kitty and she let me work a bit. Here it is on the 11th. I kept at that left corner.
Here it is on the 18th. I worked some more on the corner and the green of the coat in the bottom left.
And here it is on last Sunday, the 25th. I made great process in the beginning of the month but only had time the last week to work on it on Sunday. I added some accent details to the coat and some more green.
I think I did a pretty good job in August! Here is how my cross stitch has progressed throughout the months.
Hope you all had a great month!
How did u learn to do this?
ReplyDeleteI just bought a kit last year after seeing my aunt's. I have a huge graph/chart thing that shows me how much to do in each color. I was kind of lost at first because they have horrible directions on how to start a color but it's actually very easy! It's just time consuming.
