This update for April is a few weeks late. I've been slacking on sharing, especially on Twitter where I post my weekly updates. April was pretty busy for me. I had my final projects due for my classes (all done now!) that I had to focus on. There was also Easter. And, of course, my little girl turned one on the 8th. Happy birthday to Violet!
Here is a picture of her a few weeks after she was born.
Here she is when I got her in August at 4 months.
And here she is on her first birthday. I feel like she's just stretched out in length but otherwise hasn't gotten much bigger. Don't you just love that spotted belly?
It's definitely been filled with lots of ups and downs. I think we're finally on a pretty good (and healthy!) path. Her last round of antibiotics that we finished in March (to catch people up to speed quickly - she'd been suffering from upper respiratory problems since I got her) seems to have worked (it's safe to say that 2 months later, right?!) so here's to a long and healthy life and many more birthdays!
Okay, onto the cross stitch. As a reminder, here is what it looked like at the end of March.
Here it is on April 6th. I worked some on the bottom center.
Here it is on the 20th. I didn't have a chance to work on it the week of the 14th. I started filling in the right side.
And here it is on the 27th. I continued working on the upper right side before turning back to the upper left to finish that off.
Here is the month by month progress. This project has been going on forever but I'm SO CLOSE to being done!!
The cross titch is just beautiful! I used to do a lot of it, but can't see as well anymore.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Saundra! It definitely strains the eyes.
