Glitter & Puff Paint Easter Eggs

Even though St. Patrick's Day isn't here yet (side note: make sure you stop by on Sunday the 17th because there is going to be a HUGE giveaway that I'm participating in), I've already started planning for Easter crafts. There isn't much time in between the two holidays this year - only about two weeks. I don't usually decorate much for Easter - I just go with a spring vibe. This year, however, I wanted to make some Easter eggs so I bought a whole bunch of Styrofoam eggs. Way too many, probably.

I knew I wanted some of them covered in glitter. But, in order to make them a little different from what's already out there, I decided to decorate them with puff/fabric paint.

I coated the eggs in Mod Podge and then put glitter on top.

For drying, I stuck a needle through the bottom of the eggs and stuck it on a Styrofoam cone that I had.

Then, to prevent the glitter from falling off, I covered the eggs in another layer of Mod Podge.

Then I got to decorating! Here they are! Yes, they are in a deviled egg plate.

Here is a close up:

Here are the other three:

For display, I found some old egg cups. They were really big and the eggs pretty much disappeared in them, so I put some cotton on the bottom and cut up streamers to look like a little colorful nest.

I like that they're all original.

Stay tuned for lots more Easter egg crafts! I REALLY bought too many Styrofoam eggs!

Don't forget to come back on Sunday for the super duper huge giveaway!

I'm linking up here!
