Stenciled Travel Fund Bank and Mod Podge Rocks Giveaway!

Amy from Mod Podge Rocks! has had the awesome opportunity to develop Mod Podge specific peel and stick stencils with Plaid. How amazing is that? She asked her fellow bloggers to review her product. While this isn't a sponsored post, I did receive this stencil for free and all opinions are my own.

The stencils are available in dot, wood grain, starlite, chevron, skeleton key, and tangier. I chose chevron.

With my stencil, I decided to make a DIY fund saver. I love to travel but I have a problem of spending extra money because I have it (even if it's in my savings account). I need a place to drop spare change every now and then. I'm calling it my See the World Fund. My goal is to save up for a trip to Iceland.

To make this you will need:
-glass block (mine is 5.5"x5.5")
-vinyl and Silhouette Cameo
-Mod Podge (I used gloss)
-paint brush
-Mod Podge spouncers
-Mod Podge Podgeable Glitter
-Mod Podge Rocks! Peel and Stick Stencil in Chevron

I took a glass block I had found a while ago on sale at Michaels.

I followed the directions on the Mod Podge Rocks stencil and used the spouncer to put the Mod Podge on.

After I Mod Podged the stencil on, I peeled it up. Then I used the podgeable glitter in blue which comes out in little puffs (I washed the stencil right after). Here's what it looked like. I let it sit for 24 hours.

I really liked the stencil because it didn't move and there was no bleeding! After the 24 hours, I brushed off the excess glitter with a paint brush. I used the stencil twice in a row and I do regret not putting them a little bit closer together.

Here is the wording I cut out for the other side of the block using my Cameo.

I used transfer paper to put it on the glass.

Right now it's just full of money from my time in the UK and Europe.

I'm not sure how Violet feels about the project I made...

I don't think she'll want me to leave her behind on my worldly adventures. I wouldn't be surprised to find the funds missing.

I have to say that I'm definitely impressed with these stencils. I tried another brand before and couldn't get it to lay flat so there was a lot of bleeding. I might have to head to Michaels (the only place they're available) and get me another one. I'm thinking wood grain...
